Sierra Club Commends Haralson

The Red Earth Group of the Oklahoma Sierra Club congratulates and commends Norman's mayor Harold Haralson on being the first Oklahoma mayor to sign the U.S. Mayors' Climate Protection Agreement. York Plant To Benefit From Company Buyout

More Production, new hiring ahead, executive says. For the 1,100 production and administrative employees at the York plant in Norman, this is better than it usually gets. "The most significant thing is, our business unit will remain headquartered in Norman," said Becky Payton, vice president of human relations.

One Norman Couple Realizes The Reason For The Season Is Best Found By …Giving Back

They call it the "Reason for the Season Party," a get-together of 25 or 30 couples who are friends of Doug and Mandy Haws and who find joy in a party of giving rather than receiving. It started about eight years ago, when the Hawses had been to a round of parties where they would participate by taking cookies or an ornament or some such Christmas tradition. Progress of the National Weather Center on OU’s south campus
A camera has been installed to capture the daily progress of the National Weather Center on south campus. The University of Oklahoma (OU) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are constructing the National Weather Center to provide a consolidated, state-of-the-art facility for research, operations, education, and training.
