and Norman news. NOAA Scientists Work To Improve Severe Weather
Forecasts Thunderstorms with lightning,
hail, strong winds and tornadoes can be devastating, resulting in hundreds of
deaths and millions of dollars in damage each year. Researchers and
forecasters with NOAA http://www.noaa.gov in
Norman, Okla., are working together to improve the tools forecasters use to
predict such storms, ultimately providing the public more time to prepare for
severe thunderstorm events and more specific information about what type of

full story There’s Plenty of Activity In Norman Business Park The concrete trucks are beating a path to the
Norman Business Park along SH 9 on Norman’s southeast side. Albon Engineering
and Manufacturing has begun construction of its plant. Office Max, formerly
Boise Cascade, recently began work on a 10,400 square foot addition. Immuno
Mycologics Inc., a medical testing company, also has started construction in

Wants Another 20 The Norman apartment market
began to heat up in 2000. “We’re now seeing a lot of student housing built in
Norman. Another big trend is the large number of California, Dallas and
Houston buyers. Probably 80 percent of apartment purchases in the last two
years have been by California buyers. It’s a perplexing trend because rents
are not as high here.” The
